Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, offers trekkers a choice of seven established routes to the summit. Each route is unique — some are short and direct, others are long and scenic; some provide dormitory hut accommodation, while most require camping.

- Moorland Zone (2,800–4,000 m)
- Alpine Desert Zone (4,000–5,000 m)
- Arctic Summit Zone (above 5,000 m leading to Uhuru Peak – 5,895 m)
