7 Day Lemosho Route: Kilimanjaro Climbing

Lemosho route

Lemosho Route – 7 Days Overview

The Lemosho Route is considered one of the most beautiful trails on Kilimanjaro, offering panoramic views and a quieter trekking experience. This 7-day itinerary begins on the western side of the mountain, passing through lush rainforest, the dramatic Shira Plateau, alpine desert, and finally to the glaciers of Uhuru Peak (5,895m). While shorter than the more common 8-day option, the 7-day climb still provides a good balance of scenery and challenge, though with slightly less acclimatization time. It is an excellent choice for climbers seeking both adventure and stunning landscapes.
